Chris Aring had always known that he wanted to find a way to use technology to serve humanity. When he heard that Gandhi’s grandson, Arun, was going to speak at a Youth Leadership Summit on Martha’s Vineyard, he was inspired: and when Arun Gandhi asked the Stone Soup Leadership Institute to find a way to share their innovative educational tools with students in India, Chris knew he wanted to be involved. That was the first step in his journey toward working with others to create digital tools that could be used to not only teach students about the importance of sustainability, but also to create ways to use technology to help youth get jobs in this emerging field.
